Brief Introduction
Dr. Fan Yang was called to the Bar of England and Wales in 2005. She is a CIArb Fellow and a mediator accredited by CEDR and HKMAAL.
Dr. Yang possesses extensive experience as an independent arbitrator, mediator, or advocate, having worked under the rules of numerous institutions.
Her areas of expertise encompass commercial disputes, trade and investment, shareholder joint ventures and mergers and acquisitions, financial markets and restructuring, energy, and insurance.
Dr. Yang is a NEC-accredited project manager and a FIDIC-certified adjudicator, ranking among the President’s List of Approved Dispute Adjudicators.
She is also a member of the ICC Hong Kong Standing Committee on Arbitration and ADR. Notably, she is a CIArb-approved faculty member and NEC APAC trainer, serves as the general editor of Kluwer Arbitration Practice Plus, and holds the position of international advisor at the Hainan Court of International Arbitration. Furthermore, she served as the past chairperson of the CIArb EAB China Committee.
She was born in mainland China and lived in England between September 2002 and September 2009 and has been residing and working in Hong Kong since October 2009.
